CEF® has a number of unique ministries that are currently ongoing. Below you can learn more about the local ministries of CEF of Benton County, and some of the international ministries of CEF.
Ministry Safety Policy
In today’s society child abuse and child accusations are occurring daily. Therefore it is important that Child Evangelism Fellowship® take steps to protect the children to whom we minister and protect our workers from false accusations.
All volunteers and paid workers are required to undergo a national criminal background check and complete a volunteer application process in accordance with the Child Protection Policy of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Every volunteer and staff member that works with CEF of Benton County has been carefully screened as required by the child protection policy of CEF, so that the safety of your child might be ensured.
Good News Club / Released-time Bible Class
Good News Clubs & Released-time Bible Classes are exciting, fun-filled classes for boys and girls ages 5-12. These classes are taught by trained CEF volunteers and staff in the Benton County area, and provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn about their faith.
Released-time Classes happen during school hours, as Oregon Law (See statute 339.420) allows for children to be released from school in order to receive religious instruction. Time is limited to one hour in order to fit with school schedules, but each hour is packed with strong, faith-building teaching straight from God’s word. This teaching is present in upbeat songs, key memory verses, and powerful Bible lessons, all of which are geared towards helping the children grow in their walk with the Lord. Each class is also filled with fun, interactive games that help the children learn and remember what was taught, so that the word of God might be hidden in their hearts.
A Good News Club® is held after school hours, and can run anywhere from 1 to 2 & 1/2 hours. These are held in local neighborhood homes or in a local school building. Clubs are filled with the same teaching as the Released-time Classes, but there’s also additional time for games, snacks, crafts, and most importantly, time for the children and the teachers to talk about what was taught in small groups.
If you’re interested in having your children attend a Good News Club or Released-time Bible Class, please download and print this brochure (PDF file), fill out the two attached forms and return them to us in person or by mail (See our contact info).

A 5-Day Club® is an hour and a half long, high-octane dose of fun and learning about God’s word located in your neighborhood! These clubs meet for 5 consecutive days, and are filled with strong, faith building teaching from God’s Word woven into upbeat songs, key memory verses, and powerful Bible lessons.
Each day children will discover more about God’s love for them as they learn memory verses, listen to true stories from the Bible, and hear the gospel message clearly presented in a way they can understand. They will also grow in their faith as they hear real-life accounts of missionaries who followed God’s leading into other lands. Fun games, tasty snacks, and cool prizes help to round out the club and make it enjoyable for the kids while they learn.
There is no cost for your child to attend a 5-Day Club. There is an optional missionary offering that will be taken each day, and children are encouraged to bring their own money if they would like to help support a missionary.
If you would like your children to attend a 5-Day Club or would like to host one yourself, please contact us.
